The turmoil ridden 2018-19 Boston Celtics spoiled Dwyane Wades last game against in Boston after almost blowing a 21 point lead.
Personally, during their careers as a Celtics fan, Paul Pierce was always number 1 and Dwyane Wade was always number 2. I’ve always loved Flash, right up until LeBron James decided to take his talents to South Beach and then it was nothing but absolute disgust for anything Miami. But then, after leaving Miami for Chicago and then Cleveland, D-Wade returned back to Miami, LeBron-less, and all was right in the world.
If Miami would’ve beaten the Celtics tonight I would’ve been okay with it under one circumstance…Wade goes for 50. But after coming out do halftime and almost having my night ruined by Goran Dragic and Kelly Olynyk, I wanted nothing more than Kyrie Irving to bust a 3 in Wades grill and the Celtics to bury his hopes and dreams of leaving Boston with a win.
Dwyane Wade will always have a special place on my heart as the #2B best shooting guard of all time, but thank god tonight Kyrie Irving, Marcus Smart and the gang mustered up a win after almost blowing yet another lead this year to a team they should’ve beat by 15.
Thank you for all the memories, Flash. Like this one where Stephan A Smith photobombed my only chance at getting a picture with you when I was 15. I’ll never forget it.
