Giannis Antetokounmpo is my MVP for this season. Giannis has dominated the league this year, leading the Bucks to the best record in the league. The Bucks have 1 game left, but Giannis has put up 27 ppg, 12.5 boards, and 5.9 assists, with a block and a steal per game. I mean no disrespect to James Harden this season, what he has done has been incredible this year, Giannis I just think deserves it more.
Luka Doncic should be the rookie of the year. Trae Young made a solid push for it but his early season was a little inconsistent compared to Luka. Luka put up 21.2 ppg, 7.7 boards, and almost 6 assists. Luka was impressive in his rookie season, Mavs fans should be excited for the next few years to see how good he gets.
Myles Turner is my dpoy. He leads the league with 2.7 blocks a game. Someone you don’t want to see in the paint. Turner has great size at 6-11 and a long reach. He is turning himself into an elite paint protector. Turner is also still 23 years old, Turner has the potential to win this award more than once.
Montrezl Harrell should win sixth man of the year. He’s averaging 16.5 points, 6.5 boards, and over a block a game. He keeps getting better every year he has been in the league. Don’t be surprised to see Montrezl Harrell making an impact in the next few years. He helped the Clippers reach the playoffs after missing them last year.
My most improved player of the 2018-19 season is D’angelo Russell. He helped lead the nets to playoff spot in just his second year in Brooklyn. He has improved a lot since he was traded out of LA. He was a first time all star this season and is showing he can be an elite scorer in the NBA. He had career highs in points and assists this year.
Mike Malone would be my choice for coach of the year. He helped the Nuggets reach the playoffs for the first time since 2012-13. They are currently in the 2 seed behind the Warriors. No one expected the Nuggets to do as well as they have this season. Mike Malone has done a great job with his guys like Jokic and Murray.
