The Warriors are the best team in the NBA, even though I hate saying that. It’s the truth, they are the only team that has dominated in this era of the NBA where teams are more focused on a fast pace and shooting threes. Last night, in a close game, the Golden State Warriors took a demanding 3-2 lead against the Houston Rockets, but still, they are in crucial moments right now. Warrior’s star Kevin Durant left the game with a right calf strain, this is devastating for a team who is trying to go for a historic three-peat.
The worst thing about this injury is that if Houston does get the series win, we won’t be seeing a fair series just like James Harden said in first post-game press of Game 1. Now without DeMarcus Cousins and Kevin Durant, as Dr. Strange said in Avengers Infinity War: “We’re in the Endgame now.” And yeah, is time for the Warriors to prove that they are a so called Dynasty. These are the moments were you as a fan will seek, when your team has to beat the odds and prove themselves to be recognized in history. I mean yeah, the Warriors are a historic team but this will help much more for them to mean something in this league.
Golden State Warriors fans will have the chance to see their old team back without KD in the lineup. They are going to have to step up just like Steph Curry did last night. Steph without KD last night scored 16 points on 9 shots, and in his career he averages about 30 points without Durant. But the most important thing for the Warriors to win this series and another championship is to find a second option besides Curry. Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have had a roller coaster type of season where in some games they play awesome and in others they are what we call a big bag of trash. And there is only one way they can win, maintaining their hopes up because if they go far this post-season both DeMarcus Cousins and Kevin Durant can come back and get all the help they need to go for that three-peat.
