The Seahawks Just Stole Jadeveon Clowney

On Saturday morning, the Houston Texans got robbed. They traded Jadeveon Clowney to the Seattle Seahawks and the return was not what you would expect. The Seahawks revamped their defense by adding Clowney and giving up Barkevious Mingo, and Jacob Martin. Mingo has been an okay player in the league, mostly a special teams guy. And Jacob Martin is entering his second season in the NFL, He had 3 sacks and 9 tackles last year. And the Seahawks gave up a 3rd round pick. Clowney was the first overall pick just five years ago.

Clowney has been a beast the past few years. He got off to a slow start due to injuries. He has averaged about 9 sacks the past two seasons to go along with about 50 tackles. Even when Clowney is not making the tackles, he usually has a positive effect on the play. He’s a guy who adds serious talent to an already talented Seattle defense. I’m just glad he’s out of the AFC so there is a smaller chance the Patriots have to play against him.
